This Privacy Policy explains how Quotivation handles information in connection with the Quotivation mobile application. We designed Quotivation to be useful with as little personal data as possible.
1. Introduction
Quotivation is a motivational quotes app offering inspirational quotes, topic browsing, favorites, reminders, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, custom themes, streaks, and an optional premium subscription. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Quotivation does not require an account to use. We do not ask for your name, address, or other personal identifiers to operate the core features of the App. If you choose to contact us for support, we will receive the information you include in that message (such as your email address and the content of your message).
3. Information Stored on Your Device
Your favorites, reminder schedules, followed topics, custom quote themes, app preferences, streak data, and any custom quotes you create or save are stored locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to our servers and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
4. Notifications and Reminders
If you enable reminders, Quotivation requests permission to send notifications and schedules them locally on your device at the times you choose. You can change reminder times or disable reminders at any time from within the App or from your device’s notification settings.
5. Purchases and Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions and any in-app purchases are processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, and/or RevenueCat. Pricing, billing, free trials, automatic renewals, cancellation, and refunds are managed by those platforms in accordance with their own terms and policies. Quotivation does not directly collect or store full payment card details.
6. App Store and Platform Services
Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and similar service providers may process purchase information, device identifiers, and related technical data to deliver, secure, and verify your purchases and subscription entitlements. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
7. Analytics and Diagnostics
We may collect limited diagnostic or usage information — such as crash reports or basic, aggregated performance data — to help us improve app stability and quality, if enabled or supported by the App or platform. Where applicable, this information is not used to identify you personally.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share information with service providers (such as the app stores or RevenueCat) to the extent necessary to operate the App, or when required by law.
9. Data Retention
Information stored locally by the App remains on your device until you delete it from within the App, change the relevant settings, or uninstall the App. Any information you send us by email is retained only as long as needed to respond to your request.
10. Children’s Privacy
Quotivation is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we handle. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Choices
- Enable or disable notifications and reminders at any time.
- Delete locally stored data from within the App or by uninstalling it.
- Manage your subscription from your App Store or Google Play account.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” above. Material changes will be highlighted within the App or on this page.
